Our Team
Our story started in 2016.
We set out to build an impartial financial service, that harnesses the power of technology for good. If banks can benefit from intelligent money management, then why not everyone else? That's why we set out to create the world’s most trusted financial platform. We’re proud to be impartial, giving you valuable, on-going insights which we then action on your behalf – in today’s fast-paced world, time is as precious as money, so we save you both. Are you ready to join the financial revolution?
Lukas Zoerner
Founder & CEO
Lukas Zoerner
Lukas is an Austrian who grew up in Germany, and now resides in the United Kingdom. He studied Business Administration at the University of Mannheim in Germany. Before starting Mespo, he worked for investment bank Morgan Stanley in London, advising Power & Utility companies. Working in banking, he realised that modern technology is used to help corporations do more with their money but that consumers never reap the benefit. At Mespo, Lukas is responsible for everything from marketing to operations, finance to compliance.
Julien Deray
Founder & CTO
Julien Déray
Originally hailing from France, Julien studied at École des Mines de Nantes. Before starting the company with Lukas, he worked on projects in the software industry (for example a research project with Google) and helped to build the tech behind a robo-advisor platform, focusing on credit-default swaps for P2P loans. At Mespo, Julien is responsible for everything around technology. Basically everything you can see. And also for everything you cannot. Julien also created our Mespo Spotify playlist with some, let’s call them "interesting", music choices.
Georgy Orvid
Head of Operations
Georgy Orvid
Did you know that Georgy joined Mespo as an intern? He then started his career for an Italian bank in Milan, helping companies raise funds to finance new projects. He holds a Masters degree in Finance from ESADE and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bocconi. He recently moved to London and is still exploring the different neighborhoods across the city. Outside of Mespo he is an avid football fan, supporting Juventus Turin. At Mespo, he is helping our customers save money each and every day.
Asakala Geraghty
Visual and UX design
Asakala Geraghty
Asakala is responsible for the visual design and the user experience at Mespo. With a multi-faceted background as a creative director working on branding, scent and fashion, she believes everything is user experience. She’s an avid Matcha tea-drinker and loves to push the boat out when it comes to choosing images with a bit of humour for Mespo.
Dinushi Pieries
Marketing
Dinushi Pieries
Dinushi is the heart and soul of Mespo. She is still in the process of realising that she should quit her Biochemistry studies at King’s College London and devote her life to financial technology. She has experience in Commercial Law, Banking and FinTech-leader Innovate Finance before Mespo, and continues to create affiliations to help us thrive. Like all other team members, Dinushi is truly international: born to Sri Lankan parents, growing up in Vienna, living in London but with an American accent.
Benjamin Pujol
Data Scientist
Benjamin Pujol
Benjamin is the latest addition to the team, supporting us with the Data Science & Machine Learning skills he acquired whilst studying at École Polytechnique in France. He is responsible for the fact that no subscription or bill goes undetected. Ben loves playing Rugby and he also was a firefighter in Paris. As a newbie to London he is constantly exploring different bits and pieces of the city on his bicycle. Of course, he likes Shoreditch the most.
